Back in Vaduz

I had an awesome summer and I wanted to write this post weeks ago but I simply didn’t have enough thoughts to share.

To somehow continue my last post, I have to describe my time in Prague. I loved it. I was super busy for a whole weekend and I enjoyed every single minute with people I value the most. At the end of my stay in Prague I finally met my friends from uni.li and we continued to my home town – Velke Pavlovice. And to be truly honest it was a never-ending party. I guess you all can imagine how it was in South Moravia, but if you need a hint: the morning wasn’t very nice.

Blurry mornings

Now comes the part that you might have been waiting for, my trip to Iran.

At the beginning I have to admit that couple of months ago the only difference between IRAN and IRAQ for me was the last letter. And I personally don’t think its caused 100% by mass media.  With today possibilities everyone can find more than enough relevant information. It simply was my laziness and indifference to this topic. Mass media was just an excuse.

For me, Iran was an insane experience.  I think that I am really open minded person with quite bit of travel experiences but Iran was something very special, totally unexpected and I am glad that I had this opportunity to visit my friend Payman.

Iran is the most contradictory country I have ever been to. But if there is one thing that I should mentioned above others: The people are truly amazing. It was insane how hospitable Iranians are. They realize how thoughts of western people are distorted and they always ask what do you think about they country.

I could write ten more pages and it still wouldn’t be enough. I cannot explain you, you just have to experience it. And if you want so, do it soon before mass tourism changes it forever.

Short shot from Iran:

Couple days after my return, we had this traditional festival in my home town. It might look funny and crazy, especially for non-Czechs but this event is just great. I probably enjoyed meeting my old friends most. And I thought this was my last year as an active participant in the traditional costume and everything but I enjoyed it quite a bit this time and now I am not so sure about ending this part of my life so soon.Video by Marek Musil from the traditional festival:

Right after the festival I had to go back to the Liechtenstein because I got a job here. I mean I work as a “student assistant” at dorms so it’s not a high profile job but at least I can make some serious $$$ and explore the World even more!

And now when the new semester starts, I have to fight with myself again. Jiri, you will attend the lectures, Jiri you will study during the semester and wont be freaking out 1 day before the exam, Jiri you will speak some German by the end of semester, Jiri you will go out and run, Jiri you wont drink that much…  I find it really hard to motivate myself lately. How can people wake up at 6 every day?!! How can you avoid eating pizza when its so delicious! Any tips?

Some days are good and some are better.Gamprin
